He assisted his father in Khudgarz, King Uncle, Karan Arjun and Koyla before becoming an actor. The blockbusters of his career are Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (blockbuster), Koi Mil Gaya (best Actor), lakshya (Best Actor), Krish (best actor) series, Dhoom2 (best actor), Jodha Akbar, Zindagi Na Milegi, Agneepath, Kabil and Super 30.
